Zulekha Therapies is only 6 years old, but the idea behind it and the journey to get here started 20 years ago. An uphill and shaky road, not for the fainthearted.
Felt great when it all fell in place.
My journey started when I walked away from my insurance sales representative job. The pressures of this environment became too much for me and my next step was to heal my life as I was exhausted and broken. I simply allowed myself to be drawn to what was comforting, soothing and rejuvenating. And, I discovered Yoga, Aromatherapy, Reiki and Shamanic Healing.
The journey meandered amongst those therapies and disciplines as I developed my skills and learned my trade.
I was first attracted to Spiritual healing and Yoga in 1996. That same year I travelled to Egypt on a journey of self-discovery, where, during a numerology session, my yoga teacher read that my destiny was to be a teacher. That haunted me for a long time, as I could not see myself in that role. But, as destiny is, it gradually unfolded and today I hold my students hands while they are on their journey on “The road less Travelled” as I was 20 years ago.
