How does the state of our chakras reflect in our everyday life? Part 7 - The Crown Chakra

Chakras are energy centres in our bodies, with each chakra governing major aspects of who we are on the physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual levels. Thus, for all areas of our lives, such as health, wealth, and relationships, to be in harmony with each other, our chakras must be aligned.

We previously talked about the root chakra, which relates to feelings of fear for yourself and your loved ones; the sacral chakra, which governs our relationships; the solar plexus, which is about our personal power; the heart chakra, which oversees our feelings of love and compassion; the throat chakra, which is about self-expression and the brow chakra which is about insight and inner wisdom.

Today we will look at the crown chakra, which is about our connection to the source and a sense of our own divinity and being aware that we are more than just our human body.

The crown chakra governs the brain and the nervous system, emotions, spiritual enlightenment, and transformation.

When this chakra is open, we are always in the present moment, feeling deep inner peace. All negative emotions and feelings such as anxiety, frustrations, and anger disappear as we feel at one with all beings.

If this chakra is blocked, we will likely experience many problems both on the physical and energetic levels.

The crown chakra is at the top of your head. It essentially is violet in colour.

Below are some of the reasons why this chakra closes:

This chakra closes as a result of illness, conflict, and an unhealthy lifestyle. The imbalance in your crown chakra is directly related to the state of your other energy centres.

Below are the physical and emotional issues caused by an imbalance in your crown chakra:

Physical Symptoms of a Blocked Crown Chakra

When this chakra is open, you are connected to the infinite universe, and you become aware of your bonds with others through the feeling of oneness. As your compass for life, your crown chakra is where information is transmitted to you to guide you on your life journey.

If at the moment you experience one or more or more of the following:

Chronic tension headaches

And your concern is about your need to be at ease both in your body and your life in general (able to trust yourself and others, enjoy life with a healthy mind and body, have the energy to take your life to the next level, etc.), let's do a little test.

Close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths.

Feel where this problem you are experiencing is in your body. It could be in your tummy, your throat area, or your heart, or anywhere else.

Put your attention on this area of your body.

You may feel an intense headache.

You may feel nauseous.

Or you may simply experience some kind of sensation.

The experience is different for each one of us.

It could also be something you cannot put your finger on.

Sit with your feet flat on the ground.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths and let your body relax.

Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the ground.

Now, as you breathe in, feel violet energy coming up your roots up into your crown chakra.

As you breathe out, imagine dark clouds flowing out of your crown chakra, down your legs deep, deep into the ground.

Breathe in violet energy into your crown chakra and breathe out dark clouds from the crown chakra deep into the ground.

Repeat the above exercise three times.

After that, gradually bring your attention back into the space where you are now.

Take a few deep breaths.

You can do this exercise every time you feel overcome by a problem related to your crown areas, such as feeling exhausted all the time, lack of coordination in your movements, lack of concentration, and regular headaches or the inability to cope, or anything else.

How does the state of our chakras reflect in our everyday life? Part 6 - The Brow Chakra

Chakras are energy centres in our bodies, with each chakra governing major aspects of who we are on the physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual levels. Thus, for all areas of our lives, such as health, wealth, and relationships, to be in harmony with each other, our chakras must be aligned.

We previously talked about the root chakra, which relates to feelings of fear for yourself and your loved ones; the sacral chakra, which governs our relationships; the solar plexus, which is about our personal power; and the heart chakra, which oversees our feelings of love and compassion and the throat chakra, which is about self-expression.

Today we will look at the brow chakra, which is about wisdom, clarity, intuition, and insight. Our brow chakra is also called our third eye. It acts as our centre of perception, capturing our view of the world. When this chakra is open, it helps us see things clearly, mainly on the energetic level giving us the ability to separate reality from fantasy. If this chakra is blocked, we will likely experience many problems both on the physical and energetic levels.

The brow chakra is just above the eyebrows in the forehead. It essentially is indigo in colour.

Below are some of the reasons why this chakra closes:

This chakra closes as a result of illness, conflict, and an unhealthy lifestyle. The imbalance in your brow chakra is directly related to the state of your other energy centres.

Below are the physical issues and emotional issues caused by an imbalance in your third eye:

When this chakra is open, you can see both the inner and outer worlds. Your thoughts are clear, and you can easily self-reflect.

Your brow chakra is about knowledge, reflection, and intuition. It symbolizes your connection to wisdom, insight and allows you to access the inner guidance that comes from deep within your being; access to deeper truths rather than illusions.

When your third eye is open and balanced, you not only see the world but you also understand it. You become mindful and live life in the present moment. It allows you to open your mind to deeper understandings and expand your intuition.

If at the moment you experience one or more or more of the followings:

And your concern is about your need to have clarity (make the right decision, be in control of situations, not be afraid of the unknown etc.), let's do a little test.

Close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths.

Feel where this problem you are experiencing is in your body. It could be in your tummy, your throat area, or your heart, or anywhere else.

Put your attention on this area of your body.

You may find that you experience some kind of sensation.

The experience is different for each one of us.

You may have a feeling of uneasiness.

An intense feeling of confusion.

Or something you cannot put your finger on.

Sit with your feet flat on the ground.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths and let your body relax.

Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the ground.

Now, as you breathe in, feel indigo (deep blue) energy coming up your roots up into your brow chakra.

As you breathe out, imagine dark clouds flowing out of your brow chakra, down your legs deep, deep into the ground.

Breathe in indigo (deep blue) energy into your brow chakra and breathe out dark clouds from the brow chakra deep into the ground.

Repeat the above exercise three times.

After that, gradually bring your attention back into the space where you are now.

Take a few deep breaths.

You can do this exercise every time you feel overcome by a problem in your brow area, such as headaches, blurred vision or inability to cope or anything else.

If you are interested in talking more about how I can guide you through releasing the feeling of overwhelm and lack of clarity, I would love to recommend some essential oils.

How does the state of our chakras reflect in our everyday life? Part 5 - The Throat Chakra

We previously talked about the root chakra, which relates to feelings of fear for yourself and your loved ones; the sacral chakra, which governs our relationships; the solar plexus, which is about our personal power; and the heart chakra, which oversees our feelings of love and compassion. Today's topic is the throat chakra, which is about self-expression, our ability to communicate correctly, i.e., speaking our personal truth and being heard.

The throat chakra is at the centre of your throat. It essentially is blue in colour.

Below are some of the reasons why this chakra closes:

All of these can be the root cause of physical and emotional issues, such as:

When this chakra is open, you naturally make yourself understood. You can easily say what you really want to say, and with tact. People will listen to you, and your words become LAW.

If at the moment you:

How does the state of our chakras reflect in our everyday life? Part 4 – The Heart Chakra

Chakras are energy centres in our bodies, with each chakra governing major aspects of who we are on the physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual levels. Thus, for all areas of our lives, such as health, wealth, and relationships, to be in harmony with each other, our chakras must be aligned.

In the last three weeks, we talked about the root chakra, which relates to feelings of fear for yourself and your loved ones, the sacral chakra, which governs our relationships, and the solar plexus, which is about our personal power. We will now look at the heart chakra, which oversees our feelings of love and compassion, the flip side being sadness. So today, we will be exploring the effect of sorrow in our everyday life due to a closed heart chakra.

Located at the centre of your chest, this chakra is essentially green in colour.

This chakra closes when you have experiences that break your heart – a term commonly used in a symbolic manner but actually true. This happens when a loved one, a close family member dies or breaking up with a partner. This emotional pain can be felt physically in your chest area. Besides causing you to be low in energy, this emotional problem can take a toll on your mental health and may even contribute to increased stress levels, depression and anxiety.

If you are dependent on others for fulfilment, have feelings of jealousy, be judgemental or needy of approval from others, your heart chakra is out of balance and blocked. This can be the root cause of physical and emotional issues, such as:

When this chakra is open, you have empathy, and you feel love and compassion for yourself and others.

You may be feeling very sad because:

Or, you are losing your relationship, feel that you can save it but don’t know how.

If this worries you, let’s do a little test. This time we will focus on your heart chakra issues as we did with the other chakras.

If your concern is about your need to feel loved (forgive, accept love from others, be gentle on yourself and others, etc.), let’s do a little test.

An intense feeling of helplessness.

Or something you cannot put your finger on.

Sit with your feet flat on the ground.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths and let your body relax.

Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the ground.

Now, as you breathe in, feel green energy coming up your roots up into your heart chakra.

As you breathe out, imagine dark clouds flowing out of your heart chakra, down your legs deep, deep into the ground.

Breathe in green energy into your heart chakra and breath out dark clouds from the heart chakra deep into the ground.

Repeat the above exercise three times.

After that, gradually bring your attention back into the space where you are now.

Take a few deep breaths.

You can do this exercise every time you feel overcome by sadness.

How does the state of our chakras reflect in our everyday life? Part 3 – Solar Plexus Chakra

Chakras are energy centres in our bodies, with each chakra governing major aspects of who we are on the physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual levels. For all areas of our lives, such as health, wealth, and relationships, to be in harmony with each other, our chakras must be aligned.

In the last two weeks, we talked about the root chakra, which relates to feelings of fear for yourself and your loved ones. And the sacral chakra, which governs our relationships. We will now talk about the solar plexus, which is about our personal power. This centre governs our personal freedom and sense of identity.

Located about 3 inches above your belly button, this chakra It essentially yellow in colour.

If this chakra is out of balance, you will find it difficult to say no to unreasonable demands from others. You will bend over backward to please others at the expense of your time, effort, and energy. You will feel drained and tired by over-giving.

When this chakra is in balance, you stand in your power, act from a place of authenticity, and are respected by others, not driven by ego or fear.

If you are at the mercy of the demands from others, it means that your solar plexus is out of balance and blocked. This can be the root cause of physical and emotional issues, such as:

You may be having problems at home or work, finding that you are being taken advantage of at the moment, feeling helpless, maybe like a doormat at times.

If this worries you, let’s do a little test. We will focus on your solar plexus chakra issues as we did with the sacral chakra this time.

If your concern is about your need to be taken seriously (not being respected, ignored, subjected to unreasonable demands, etc.), let’s do a little test.

An intense feeling of helplessness.

Or something you cannot put your finger on.

Sit with your feet flat on the ground.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths and let your body relax.

Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the ground.

Now, as you breathe in, feel yellow energy coming up your roots up into your solar plexus chakra.

As you breathe out, imagine dark clouds flowing out of your solar plexus chakra, down your legs deep, deep into the ground.

Breathe in yellow energy into your solar plexus chakra and breath out dark clouds from the solar plexus chakra deep into the ground.

Repeat the above exercise three times.

After that, gradually bring your attention back into the space where you are now.

Take a few deep breaths.

You can do this exercise every time you feel that you are losing your personal power and sense of identity.

If you are interested in talking more about how I can guide you to take charge of your personal power, I would love to recommend some essential oils.

I especially have a blend of solar plexus oil that I have used to address issues on how to stand up for yourself on many occasions.

It is a very simple and very tangible way of balancing your sacral chakra instantly.

How does the state of our chakras reflect in our everyday life? Part 2 – Sacral Chakra

Chakras are energy centres in our bodies, with each chakra governing major aspects of who we are on the physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual levels. For all areas of our lives, such as health, wealth, and relationships, to be in harmony with each other, our chakras must be aligned.

Last week we talked about the root chakra and how it relates to the feeling of fear for yourselves and your loved ones. We will now talk about the sacral chakra, the second chakra, how it governs our relationships.

This chakra is about one to two inches below your navel. It essentially is orange in colour.

If this chakra is out of balance, you will attract the wrong people in your life. You will experience power struggles in your relationships with co-dependency needs from both partners. And you will continue to search outside of yourself to feel fulfilled.

Being in a healthy relationship nurtures and gives you a sense of belonging. You contribute to each other’s needs and growth on all levels, and this allows you to live an obstacle-free life, abundant in health and wealth.

Being in a toxic relationship or being unable to have a deep and meaningful relationship with your partner is the root cause of physical and emotional issues in your life, such as:

You may be having problems in your relationship at the moment and

the reason could be a feeling of lack to deepen your relationship with your partner.

If this worries you, let’s do a little test. Like we did with the root chakra, we will focus on issues with your sacral chakra this time.

If your concern is about your relationship (lack of fulfilment, commitment, co-dependency, etc.), let’s do a little test.

An intense feeling of dissatisfaction.

Or something you cannot put your finger on.

Sit with your feet flat on the ground.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths and let your body relax.

Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the ground.

Now, as you breathe in, feel orange energy coming up your roots up into your sacral chakra.

As you breathe out, imagine dark clouds flowing out of your sacral chakra, down your legs deep, deep into the ground.

Breathe in orange energy into your sacral chakra and breath out dark clouds from the sacral chakra deep into the ground.

Repeat the above exercise three times.

After that, gradually bring your attention back into the space where you are now.

Take a few deep breaths.

You can do this exercise every time you feel that you are worried about your relationship.

If you are interested in talking more about how I can help you feel at ease in your relationship, I would love to recommend some essential oils.

I especially have a blend of sacral chakra oil that I have used to address all kinds of relationship issues on many occasions.

It is a very simple and very tangible way of balancing your sacral chakra instantly.

If you are curious about this and would like to know more, book a FREE 30 mins call with me to talk about how problems in your relationships are holding you back.

I will tell you more about this issue and recommend some essential oils.

Perhaps you might also be interested in learning more about other ways to help you with your relationships, using Reiki, Shamanic Healing, and NLP.

My commitment is that you will leave that call feeling much better, more empowered, regardless of whether you buy my essential oils or decide to work with me or not.

How does the state of our chakras reflect in our everyday life? Part 1 – Root Chakra

Chakras are energy centres in our bodies, with each chakra governing major aspects of who we are on the physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual levels. For all areas of our lives, such as health, wealth, and relationships, to be in harmony with each other, our chakras must be aligned.

Our primal needs in life are our safety, security, and survival. If these needs are threatened, we become afraid.

We may be afraid of impending death, lack of money, or fear of being attacked by an unknown enemy. You may or may not know that it is about your root chakra when it comes to fear. Red in colour, this chakra governs those primal needs, and if they are not satisfied, fear settles in, causing an imbalance in the energetic system. When this happens, the effect on our lives, in general, is disastrous.

We are currently living in stressful times, and our safety and security have been fundamentally threatened in many ways for the past 15 months.

Fear is everywhere around us, and because of what is happening in our world at the moment or for many other reasons personal to you, you may be afraid for your safety and that of your loved ones.

Being afraid brings up an intense feeling that either paralyses you completely or gives you a burst of energy to respond to perceived dangers. Imagine being chased by a tiger or a mad dog. You know that if they get hold of you, not only will your life be over, you will also suffer from excruciating pain and torture. Whether the situation is real or imagined, your body reacts in the same way. It goes in fight or flight mode, and the sudden release of hormones is exhausting.

If you do not get out of the fight or flight mode, your body begins to become tired, your immune system declines, and according to recent research, your brain can even begin to become toxic.

So, living in constant fear of impending disaster can have a negative effect on your health in general.

Physical symptoms of root chakra issues are:

Furthermore, there is a negative impact on the energetic level. What we fear most will be realised without a shadow of a doubt because the misalignment of our chakras will attract to us the very thing that we are afraid of.

Allowing yourself to be ruled by fear is the fastest way for you to destroy your health and well-being slowly but surely. The best way to change this state of being is to keep the flow of positivity going. Easier said than done because all these negative thought patterns are encoded in our psyche and energy field.

Below is a simple exercise for you to test your level of fear and release it easily.

If you know your fear (death, illness, lack of money, fear for your loved ones, etc.), let’s do a little test.

Close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths.

Feel where this fear is in your body. It could be in your tummy, your throat area, or your heart.

Put your attention on this area of your body.

You may find that you experience some kind of sensation.

The experience is different for each one of us.

You may have a feeling of uneasiness.

An intense feeling of fear itself.

Or something you cannot put your finger on.

When your root chakra is out of balance, you need to be grounded.

Sit with your feet flat on the ground.

Gently close your eyes.

Take a few deep breaths and let your body relax.

Imagine roots growing from the soles of your feet deep into the ground.

Now, as you breathe in, feel red energy coming up your roots up into your root chakra.

As you breathe out, imagine dark clouds flowing out of your root chakra, down your legs deep, deep into the ground.

Breathe in red energy into your root chakra and breath out dark clouds from the root chakra deep into the ground.

Repeat the above exercise three times.

After that, gradually bring your attention back to the space where you are now.

Take a few deep breaths.

Feel yourself very grounded.

If you are interested in talking more about how I can help you feel safer in your life, I would love to recommend some essential oils.

I especially have a blend of root chakra oil that I have used to address all kinds of fear on many occasions.

It is a very simple and very tangible way of balancing your root chakra instantly.

If you are curious about this and would like to know more, book a FREE 30 mins call with me to talk about how fear is holding you back and how you feel about your sense of safety.

I will tell you more about this fear and recommend some essential oils.

Perhaps you might also be interested in learning more about other ways I could help you to feel safe, using Reiki, Shamanic Healing, and NLP.

My commitment is that you will leave that call feeling much better, more empowered, regardless of whether you buy my essential oils or decide to work with me or not.

How to Heal Your Life by Balancing Your Chakras – the same ones I use to balance my life.

The Chakra System

The chakra energy system is the energetic counterpart of our physical system. There are seven main chakras or energy centers that govern our lives on all levels; this includes our mental, emotional and physical health, our wealth or lack of it, and our relationships' conditions. When they are not in balance, we will definitely have serious problems in all or one of those areas of our lives.

These energy vortices are connected to our higher selves, souls, or the universal energy field. When this connection is working, we will attract the right situation and people in our lives to manifest the life of our dreams.  When it's not, and our chakras are blocked, energy will not flow freely, and we will struggle and feel discomfort in many areas of our lives.

This is caused by emotional stress due to our inability to deal with our lives in general. Usually, this happens when we are forcing ourselves to do the things that we know are not right for us. The price we pay for not honoring our soul path can affect one or more chakras and may result in serious illnesses on a physical level which can sometimes be fatal. Below are the chakras and their positive and negative mental, emotional and physical effects.

Root Chakra

Located at the base of the spine, this chakra is red in colour, and it governs the lower limbs and the elimination of waste in the physical body.

Psychological aspects are about:

When this chakra is out of balance, you feel afraid for yourself and your loved ones, and this fear can manifest itself in your everyday life, such as lack of money, threats from others, and sometimes tragedy and disasters.

On a physical level, you can have weaknesses in the legs; other symptoms are constipation, sciatica, and impotence.

When this chakra is balanced, you feel safe secure on all levels, mental, emotional, and physical. Money is not an issue.

Sacral Chakra

Located just below the navel, this chakra is orange in colour and governs digestion, the kidneys, lower back, and sexual potencies in the physical body.

Psychological aspects are about:

When this chakra is out of balance, it can affect sex drive, relationships, with life being all about control, constantly struggling with situations of emotional and sexual abuse.

For those with writing, artistic and musical talent, it is difficult, frustrating, and almost impossible to express their gift to the world.

When this chakra is balanced, you can truly be who you were destined to be, excel in your chosen field, manifest situations and relationships that enhance your life, create harmony and opportunities for growth on all levels.

Solar Plexus Chakra

Located between the heart and navel, this chakra is yellow in colour and governs the stomach and certain vital organs such as the liver, pancreas, and spleen.

Psychological aspects are about:

When this chakra is out of balance, it affects your energy level and creates situations whereby you are the victim, feeling sorry for yourself, unable to defend or express yourself clearly; your brain may be thinking one thing, and your mouth would say something else. You would be living your life in fear, afraid of saying what you truly mean, and always pleasing others.

It can also cause physical problems such as eating disorders.

When this chakra is balanced, you will be standing in your power and express yourself for who you are to the world, both in words and action, making a difference, leaving a legacy of your true self, inspiring others to follow in your footsteps.

Heart Chakra

Located at the centre of the chest, near the heart, this chakra is green in colour and governs the immune system, the circulatory system, the lungs, and breasts.

Psychological aspects are about:

When this chakra is out of balance, you will take everything personally and find it difficult to forgive. It also leads to feelings of loneliness, betrayal, and abandonment; such deep feelings of being unloved that can lead to physical illnesses such as heart problems, asthma, and breast problems.

When this chakra is balanced, your heart centre is opened, your energy field radiates with health and happiness. You become like a magnet, attracting the right opportunities and relationships to help you create a better world for yourself and others.

Throat Chakra

Psychological aspects are about:

When this chakra is out of balance, you will harbor feelings of betrayal, finding yourself afraid to speak out for yourself.  You can get caught up in the negative loops of telling lies, being involved in such toxic activities as gossiping and criticizing others behind their backs.

Physical symptoms could be sleep disorders, stuttering, catarrh, and persistent coughs.

When your throat chakra is balanced, you are always in control; your actions are decisive, with your words being true, for the greater good of yourself and others. You easily express your creativity through writings, arts, or any talent you are here put out to the world.

Brow Chakra Oil

Located in the middle of the forehead, this chakra is indigo in colour and governs the body aspects such as the eyes, nervous system, and brain.

Psychological aspects are:

When this chakra is out of balance, you may find it difficult to empathize with others, using reason and logic to explain situations, unable to consider the energetic aspects of things.

Physical problems can be headaches and migraines; extreme cases can be depression, neuroses, and seizures.

When your brow chakra is balanced, you are able to see divinity in yourself and others. You become aware of the bigger picture, always considering outcomes with the greater good in mind.

Psychological aspects are:

When this chakra is out of balance, you may find it difficult to focus and concentrate. Situations can get out of hand, and confusion becomes the norm as you struggle to connect with others and make sense of the world around you.

Physical problems can be migraines, headaches, dizziness, and lack of appetite.

When this chakra is balanced, you become fully connected to the source of all of life. You will then live your life with integrity, trust, and wisdom.

There are very few people on this earth that have reached this state of being, and this is what our journey of self-healing and personal development is about,  achieving enlightenment.

We do our best, and the more balanced we are, the more peace and harmony we bring into our lives.

The Subtle bodies

Our physical body is surrounded by an aura consisting of several subtle bodies or energy fields, surrounding and interpenetrating the physical form, each of which is a luminous energy field vibrating at a particular frequency. These human energy fields are the manifestation of Universal Energy.

We are spiritual beings and immortal spirit souls temporarily embodied in this physical form. There are 3 layers to our being, which can also be called 3 bodies. They are:

Physical – the waking body

Astral – the dreaming body

Causal – the dreamless state

Chakras

What are chakras?

These energy centres are situated within our astral bodies. There are seven energy centres. They are our connections to universal energy. Through the chakras, we connect to the cosmic source, like a plug taking energy from the main electrical system to power an appliance.

During the course of our lives, we accumulate experiences, which are then stored as information in the chakra it resonates with. This then determines the type of life we lead. Some experiences may be of a negative nature. This slows the vibration of this chakra, causing a blockage that prevents it from taking as much energy from the universal energy field to provide us with the true experience that we are meant to have during our time on earth.

We then tend to live a life of struggle, repeating those experiences over and over again in many different forms, not understanding why this is happening and thinking that this is life and we have no power or control to take charge. Always expecting disaster round the corner, or when something is going well, and we think everything is ok, suddenly disaster strikes.

Most people live their lives in this manner, and it wears them down. They give up on living life to the full, “what’s the point? It will end in disaster anyway”. They settle to a mundane, boring life until it ends, ridden with disease, dissatisfaction, and regrets.

Taking charge

“Actions speak louder than words.”

We need to know that we are responsible for every situation in our lives. The outside world is like a mirror. Repressed feelings and emotions, negative situations that have not been dealt with, and sometimes generational and past lives issues stored in our chakras replay themselves in our lives. Many a time, people have a feeling of “déjà vue,” as the same pattern repeats itself over and over again. This is a way that our subconscious is letting us know that there is unfinished business that needs to be put to rest. By taking actions to clear these patterns, we are liberating ourselves from “karma,” at the same time liberating seven generations before us and seven generations after us from carrying the same burden that our forefathers and we carried. We are also giving ourselves new leases of life and a blank page to write our story rather than living one that has been written for us.

Root chakra

Located at the base of the spine, this chakra is red in colour; it governs the lower limbs and the elimination of wastes in the physical body. Psychological aspects are about security, survival instinct, safety, etc.

When this chakra is out of balance, you feel afraid for yourself and your loved ones, and this fear can manifest itself in your everyday life, such as lack of money, threats from others, sometimes tragedy and disasters.

Diseases associated with imbalances in the root chakra:

Anorexia
Obesity
Osteoarthritis
Auto-immune disease
Arthritis
Cancer
AIDS
Fatigue
Kidney
Spinal column

When balancing the chakras, the root chakra needs to be addressed first.

When this chakra is in balance, you feel safe at all times; there is never a feeling of threat or an impending sense of disaster. Nor does this kind of situation ever happen in your life. You have the ability to create harmony and security physically, emotionally, and financially at all times.

Hand-made natural vs. Off-the-shelf skincare products

Having anything hand-made for you has always been looked upon as a luxury. Many of us do not even dare consider having hand-made outfits or skincare and hair care products. Even before the thought hits our brain, we see expenses beyond our means.

Off-the-shelf products

Modern skincare and hair care products are sold in dazzling packages. They grab our attention and desire to buy them using slick advertising.

Off-the-shelf products

There are hundreds and hundreds of products available to choose from, yet they are all the same version of each other with slight variations. They may look, feel and smell different.

Still, behind the facade of fancy labels claiming "improved" or "new," they are made from one basic formula consisting of mineral oil and water held together with synthetic emulsifiers and waxes.

They are scented with different artificial fragrances and contain different artificial colours.

And, amongst the myriad of chemical ingredients added to make them look appealing, more chemically based preservatives are added to give them a long shelf-life. Products designed under these conditions tend to only work on the skin's surface, achieving temporary benefits if they achieve anything at all.

Hand-made natural products

Hand-made skin treatments take into consideration our individual needs.

Because our skin is a breathing living organ, the biggest one in the body, everything that we put on it is absorbed into the bloodstream, directly affecting our health, moods, and well-being.

If we eat food that is chemically loaded or has no nutritional value, we will suffer the consequence in various ways, such as stomach problems, headaches, and bad moods.

Skin Types

There are categories of skin, such as normal, dry, oily, combination, acne, sun-damaged, etc. However, most people's skin types fall within two or more of these categories. This is because our skin is a breathing living organ. Our skin is also constantly changing. The reason for these changes is due to a number of factors.

  • The seasons are one of the factors; in summer, our skin may be different from what it is in winter. Each individual has different reactions to heat and cold, the effects of wind, rain, and centrally heated environments.
  • Age is another factor that affects skin types because, typically, skin is "normal" when we are children, oily during adolescence, and drier as we grow older.
  • An important factor for women is their menstrual cycle. With every cycle, our body changes, and any change occurring within our system includes our skin as well.
  • Another major factor is diet. What is inside our bodies is reflected on the outside. If we consume food that will cleanse and nurture us, we will be rewarded with radiant skin.
  • The most important factor of all is our emotional state. A positive outlook on life will be reflected in our skin, if not our whole life.

Off-the-shelf products are mass-produced. They cannot address our individual needs because they are produced commercially from one basic formula that only works on the surface. As skin types fluctuate regularly, it makes more sense to custom-make our skincare products, where we have the flexibility to choose the ingredients and techniques that are suitable for our individual needs.

You may be surprised to find that hand-made products can be much cheaper than buying expensive off-the-shelf products.

Buying products made with pure natural ingredients and fragranced with natural essential oils that are beneficial to your skin from small independent businesses means you’re not paying for a big corporate machine or huge advertising budgets. Plus you know exactly what you are putting on your skin and can avoid all the artificial chemicals found in many off-the-shelf products.
